Portraits of success

On Friday September 21st ten Yerba Buena students had the opportunity to attend the 27th annual Portraits of Success Youth Leadership conference and luncheon. The students were enthralled with the opportunity to meet successful hispanic role models, made valuable connections and were inspired by the event.

Youth Leadership Conference: The Youth Leadership Conference has mentored over 3400 high school students from 25 schools with all volunteer mentors. Past and present “Portraits of Success” award recipients and successful community leaders and professionals serve as
role models and conference mentors.

Luncheon: This project commemorates National Hispanic Heritage month.
Every year during our Annual Portraits of Success Luncheon we honor and celebrate the accomplishments achieved by five exemplary community leaders. Financing the activities of the Hispanic Development Corporation, this luncheon has become the PREMIER Hispanic awards event in San Jose, CA. Our luncheon allows us to unite our community and honor our recipients for their personal achievements and service to others and the community.
